Sweetly on the breeze
He calls me
To the quiet
Unbreakable
Silence
To come away
And live
Leaving the days gone by
To pack them away
And cherish
The falling leaves
His hand held out
To lead me
To peaceful rhythms
Surrender the noise
His soft whisper
Bids me to stillness
To ponder
Reflect
And remember
The harsh heat
Of Summer
Still felt on my skin
Bitter in my hair
Loud and unrelenting
Does not concede
Quietly
But with violence
It rains and pours
Kicking and screaming
But Autumn
His power
Returns unwilling
To go unnoticed
Without a song
And so, he takes
His place
In regal pose
To bring solace
And peace
Such peace
