God Loves Beautiful You- The Road Ahead

You have now come a third of the way through the “Beautiful You” Devotional. I hope and pray you’re being challenged, comforted and healed through the pages of God’s Word and the experience of knowing you are not alone through this process. Not only is God with you, but a fellow sojourner who understands the battle.

I’m truly honored to walk this road with you and humbled that the Lord would take my life and break it as bread to feed another. A good friend once told me a story of a man walking through the woods and coming upon a certain plant, stepped upon its branches. As he heard and felt them breaking under his feet, an aroma began to fill the space where he stood. The aroma was coming from the broken plant and could only come through the breaking!

I’ve never forgotten that story and realized since that time, that it is God’s way! As we are broken open, the essence of Christ begins to fill every space we occupy.

2 Corinthians 2:14-15

14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.

This healing process is the personification of that truth. Through it, the Lord is bringing us to a place of self-discovery, yes, but strictly for the purpose of finding ourselves IN HIM! To come to the realization of just how much of our energy centers around preserving our own life and reality to finally learning to let go and take hold of HIS LIFE!

It is the hardest battle we will ever fight…Surrender!

I want to take the opportunity in this week’s devotion to pull up a chair beside you to check on you and see how you’re doing so far and if you’re up for the rest of the trip. And perhaps prepare you for the road ahead.

The road ahead will confront some things in you for the sole purpose of releasing them:

  • shame
  • belonging
  • inferiority
  • approval seeking
  • validation
  • anger

To come to a place of self-acceptance, security in God alone and finally showing up for your life! Which, remember, is our goal: “Stop hiding and show up for your life”

It has been an incredible joy to serve you in opening up my life through this devotional and I want to continue to do so in ways that bring you the support you need. Not just a story, but a transformational journey. Of course, I realize transformation is God’s job, but I’m a co-laborer with Him so I want to take the time to evaluate where you are and determine if continuing is your desired course of action.

To do so, I ask that you take a moment to answer some simple questions for me that will determine where you currently are and your best path forward:

I want to thank you for giving your time and energy to support the devotional and help to evaluate its impact on you, personally and its future impact on others. 🙂

Sincerely, Crisie Hutchings
