THE RESURRECTED LIFE

“I AM the Resurrection and the Life! John 11:25

Though you die, yet shall you live! These are the words of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Who being THE WORD can never lie! All of His words are faithful and true as He is! This claim, this reality is our reality: “though you die, yet shall you life”.

The Great I AM took on flesh to redeem our lives from the emptiness handed down to us by the sin of Adam. We have a new nature, a new pedigree, a new lease. Not on death, but on LIFE! And my soul makes it’s boast in Him; in what He did; in His destruction of the power of darkness in my life! His IS the Power, the Glory, the Wisdom, forever and ever!

This is good news! The best news! Especially when I consider what my old life did to me and to those I love. God forgets, but I remember. I remember what He snatched me out of; a life and heart that was bent on self-destruction and shame! A soul riddled with the sounds of other people’s voices telling me who I was and what I was worth. A heart so shattered and guarded that love could not enter nor be entertained. Not for a second.

A future that looked as grim as the Reaper, himself. The life I now have could never have been without the Christ!

THAT and much more is why the spirit of this age fights the name and people of Jesus so much. Because the spirit of this age is death and Jesus is Life. The spirit of this age is anxiety and Jesus is the Prince of Peace. The spirit of this age is perversion and sexual immorality and Jesus is Purity. The world will ALWAYS war against Jesus and His church. And that war is only going to get more and more fierce as the day of Jesus’ coming grows nearer.

That victory has already been won, but we, His church must enforce that victory everyday, in our own minds and lives and how we interact with the world. And this is our consolation:

“And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” 2 Thess. 2: 8

I love the victory of our Lord!!!

We need not despair nor be fearful in this day of trail and pressing for our Lord has overcome the darkness.

Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

EPHESIANS 1:15-22

As you remember His death and resurrection and celebrate His victory this weekend, remember this: THIS is Who He is. This is who we are because He makes His home in us! Carry on, good soldier of Christ. He is with us and in us and for us and will NEVER leave or forsake us!

Let Christ be glorified in all,

Crisie ~
